Want that slider to go from wall to wall? Browser edge to browser edge? Got photos? Canvas is ready.
You do need to check the boxes for both the slider itself and then the full-width option.
This is perfect example of a company listening to the needs and wants of its customers. In the WOO forums and WOO Ideas areas of their support site, there was quite the chatter of getting a full-width slider for WOO Canvas. Other themes has it (e.g. Scrollider) but Canvas is their flagship and, personally, I’m of the opinion that Canvas should be able to do anything that any other WOO theme can do.
In WOO Canvas settings, under Business Template –> Featured Slider you’ll want to check both boxes for the Featured Slider and the Full Width Slider. Upload your (very large, at least a good 1,000 pixels wide) photos into your slides and you’re all set!

Thanks for the tips on this. Perhaps something you might add is that the full width slider doesn’t work if you have boxed layout enabled.
What I really want is to be able to get around that – ie. have full width slider on the home page only and boxed layout everywhere else. Do you know how I could achieve that? I have been searching and searching but cant find it on anyone’s ccs tweeks page anywhere…

I agree, I’m a fan of both the full-width slider and the boxed layout. But how to get them working together! Steve has a comment over on the tweaks page that might work. I haven’t had time to give it a try yet, but give it a go, see if it helps!

Hi Bradley, I’ve been trying to get this to work and must be missing something. I just can’t get the image to span the entire width of the browser. I went through all the steps you outlined but it’s still not working. I have a page set to the business template, 2 slides with images 1600×400. In the business template setup I checked the boxes to enable the full-width slider and featured slider. I put both slides into a group and selected that group. I do not have the boxed layout selected. I’m stumped! Any suggestions?
