Emailing Large Files
By Bradley Charbonneau | Filed under FAQ, Help, Photos, Software
With more and more high-quality digital photos, movies, and audio files, people want to email larger and larger files. Many ISPs conk out if you try to send (or receive) attachments over 10 MB or so. Or your server might just decide to do some spring cleaning and remove all large and/or old attachments. There’s a much easier way to get large files to someone else without hiring a messenger or mailing a CD.
- MediaFire lets your have unlimited space (but 100 MB max per file).
- You Send It (www.yousendit.com) lets you upload files up to 100 MB and it’ll send an email to your recipient and they click a link and download it. That’s it. No signing up, no social security numbers, nada.
- If you want files even larger than 100 MB, you can use www.sendthisfile.com.
