Embedding a Flash (FLV) file outside of the WordPress loop

email

As usual, you take a break from a challenge and when you come back with a fresh perspective, you figure it out. After hours of trying to embed a Flash file (FLV) into the sidebar of a WordPress site, I found Jeroen Wijering’s FLV Set Up Wizard.

It’s not up just yet, but that embedded FLV file will go over to Body Solution, a beautiful Flash file of bubbles rising in water.

I am trying to find a plugin + widget that will allow me to put a .flv in a WordPress sidebar as well. So far no luck. Lot’s of flv player, but I haven’t found any with a widget option. Please let me know if you figured it out!!

I only find plugins for posts/sidebar… Not what i need. Im running a wordpress on a hosting not the free version.

I have a better idea why not use Drupal or Joomla where it is a peice of cake. WordPress has so many draw backs.

It’s a good point, John. I’m of the “Do One Thing and Do It Well” camp now, especially with WordPress and I just don’t have the resources to work with other platforms. Nor, frankly, the interest. I love WordPress and yes, it has limitations, like anything. But thanks for commenting and stopping by!
