Headline Images

Brian Dupuis created a plugin I just love. It renders regular old text into any font you can upload (.ttf, true type font). So you can grab any font you like and make that your banner, your headline images, etc. I use it on this site and here are a few other examples:
There are a few limits to the plugin.
- Symbols Depending on the font, it may render symbols into a bit of gobbledygook. For example, if your favorite font “Scrappy Dog” doesn’t have the ” # ” symbol, it’ll just show a box or a rectangle in place of it.
- Line Spacing Some fonts have oversized spacing above and/or below that might make a two-or-more headline quite tall.
