Matt: We ended up going with MemberClicks. It's been good for what it's supposed to do (events, RSVPs, calendars, newsletters, etc.), but still we have their main site (batw.org) set up in WordPress so they can add content more easily.

Actually, what caught my eye recent was Big Tent. Looks like it does everything we wanted and for, uh, free. Too good to be true? I'd love to know.

Thanks for commenting, Matt.

Did you find one that you were happy with? I have just started to look. The prices vary so much and some have just way more options then one would need. This is the first place that I have see that lists proper systems/software. Also there seem to be a lot a rubbish out there as well. It is hard to figure out which ones are proper systems and which ones are over priced/rubbish. Has anyone seen a more extensive list anywhere? What did you settle on?

MASS - Membership Administration Software Solution. This membership software is a comprehensive product that is Windows based with the option to have a Web server host the database, which then allows for the Web browser module to give access to both end-users and administrators.
The price depends on the number of concurrent users (not Web end-users) and the number of member records. The price can therefore vary between $199 (Single-user up to 1000 records) and upwards.
Contact the Company and they are responsive to your requirements.

You should take a look at membergate for a high end solution, or amember for a lower priced solution, or possibly infusionsoft.
