San Francisco Writers Workshop

The San Francisco Writer’s Workshop provides a forum for writers in any genre to share their ongoing work and receive useful comments from other writers. The workshop was founded around 1946 and met for many years at the San Francisco Public Library. Since 1997, the Meridian Gallery has generously given space to the workshop for its weekly meetings. It’s currently hosted by Tamim Ansary. The Workshop meets every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. (arrive a little before 7). Attendance is free and open to all interested writers.

The Unwritten Rules

— 6 double-spaced pages max.
— don’t bring the same work twice (even after editing)
— bringing copies for others to follow along helps, but not required
