Site running, but no posts? In “Posts” in WordPress is it empty? In PHP MyAdmin (the SQL database admin where all of the content lives), do you get an error when at the wp_posts table? It might be as simple as repairing the database.

I took in a quick breath of panic when I saw the WP admin under Posts was empty. As in the 348 posts on the site were gone, kablooey, history, bah-bye. Hmm. We had just done some DNS changing for mail, but nothing really to the hosting of the site. Still, I guess we moved around enough dust to break something in the database.

The Solution

In cPanel, under MySQL Databases, you can first click on Check DB. You’ll probably–hopefully!–get errors. If so, just click Repair DB. It’ll do its thing (I have no idea what it’s actually doing) and when it’s done, it’ll say all of the tables are “OK” and you should see your posts again in your WP admin. Whew.

That’s how it went for me. I wish the same quick fix for you.
